New Brunswick eh? Ever go to Tumultys?

Didn't see this earlier. Yep, been there many times in my school years. Sadly, the food has gone down hill. I mean Charlie Brown's bad.

I probably saw you there. I was a regular from 1990 until 1997. Met my wife there. Had our engagement party there. Had my daughter's Christening party there. She was a bartender on Wed/Fri nights through much of nineties.

Sad the food's gone down hill. I know it got a lot more "upscale", with higher prices to match.

George Street has completely changed. Every restaurant coming in is a once a year special treat type of place. $100 for a couple easy. Some of them are outstanding but this is a college town. I'd love just a simple Thai, Indian or Sushi place or just a good cheap burger that isn't $16.

I certainly remember when that was starting--I knew Francis, one of the owners at Stage Left, and when it was just starting out, he treated us really well--we'd hang out at the bar after my wife (thought we weren't married at the time) finished her shift at Tumulty's. Later, we went there for a 2nd or 3rd anniversary or something, and he was like, oh, hi, and then went to talking to some big shot.

Church St. Trattoria is gone, I know, Robert Wood took out a bunch of stuff. There was that New Orleans place, which had a great beer selection--that's still there, right? Food was never all that great.

I hope not in Bridgewater. At least I now I may know who spit on my fish after I sent it back.

He owns a number of restaurants now. I'm on the Zoning Board here and we passed a new sign for his place.

I just got back form watching from watching the game at my parents' house and haven't had time to read the gamethread. If someone can give me a quick answer at to why Eyre was left in so long and what goes on in the brain of Shane Victorino, Id appreciate it.

thx.

I can't answer the latter question. As for the former, I believe the answer is that Happ (not Seanez) is on the NLDS roster, so Charlie was trying to save Madson (as his only remaining righty setup guy) for the 8th, rather than having to use Romero (or Happ) for the 8th.

The general consensus on the board is that Madson was watching porn.

I, too, vote for viper to go away. At this point, he must think it's funny that he hasn't been banned. I realize I'm not really known for adding meaningful content, but I don't think I've ever put someone on ignore on their first day before.

I blame the media for calling Charlie a genius too many times. He's believing the hype and trusting his gut too much instead of using his brain.

Man, that was brutal. Spent all day at McGillan's, worked our butt off to get super seats, was feeling great, and then as soon as Moyer wasn't getting those strike calls in the first inning, there was a hole in my stomach.

Almost got into a huge fight at the end of the game. As soon as the last out was recorded, some guys at a table next to us - in Phillies gear - started a big Eagles chant. I can't remember ever being so instantly, unthinkingly, furious in my life. We were really lucky there was a good bouncer to calm things down because there were three times as many of them as us.

Still feeling good about the series. We win today!
