He bumped into Counsell after he was out, and beyond the base. Once out, you need to either slide into the base or get out the way. Not run into the player.

He didn't hit him beyond the base. He glanced him at the base. How is hitting him a tad standing (without going out of his way at all, and still getting the base) any different from sliding to try and get him out? Is this an actual rule?
