so i'm curious what the consensus thoughts are on where the sixers, lakers, and kings will end up next year if you're thinking of including 2017 draft picks in a deal.
i don't know anything about the kings. don't think the sixers or lakers will improve enough to make the playoffs. don't know if the lakers will improve enough that they'll likely end up in the top 3 again or not?

Hard to say before draft and free agency. I don't think Lakers will see a huge win bump next year with rookie Ingram. Walton over Scott will help and still don't know what they'll do in free agency.

I don't love this deal, but it sure does make a lot of sense for the roster structuring. Butler + Simmons, Embiid & Noel would give this team instant free agent viability.
PG Conley (FA)
SG Butler
SF Covington
PF Simmons
C Embiid/Noel
This team wins 40 games in the East, and probably flirts with the playoffs going into next year.
We would be without a pick in '17, but we would have two #1's in '18.
I would really like the deal if we could keep Saric, and give up #24 & #26 this year. But the Bulls would probably require a package like the one originally pulled together here like Savior suggested.

dude has such a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder; you could hear it in his voice. i bet that whole "never stop working" mentality rubs teammates the wrong way at times (kobe-lite). and i bet he's someone that makes note of the guys not putting in the work.
with all that said, i'd still love to get him. building with he and simmons means that anything you get from embiid is a luxury. if all 3 of those guys hit, you're a leading destination for FAs.
