This has happened. Larry Brown must be sad.

he in appearance, style, flair and bozoness reminds me of Nick Young. I saw him in a HS all star came and he showed up the opposing teams bench after a made three.

he seems like a much better player than Young, tho. would be cool if he was a Sixers.

What I don't understand is: if you're a top 5 prospect like this kid or like Wiggins was, what's the real benefit of going to college? Going to the d league for a year would pit you against guys that have played professionally, it's a league that's geared toward getting you ready for the NBA, and you could sign endorsement deals. Seems like it would be way more beneficial compared to college.

someone posited the same question on twitter and I think the best answer is that the coaching at the college level is way higher than you'd get in the d-league and overseas.

I don't think it is a better league to get you ready for the NBA in that situation, though. coaches aren't going to have any incentive to spend time on you during your one pre-draft year if they don't think you can help the team on the court. depends where he goes but I wouldn't be surprised if Mudiay ends up riding the bench somewhere

Going to another continent where you don't know anyone when you are 18 years old is scary?
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Simply said his family is poor and he wants to make money now. He would've been eligible at SMU.

Why doesn't he just have SMU pay him? That's what they do down there, isn't it?

Summer League guess at what the 15 man regular season roster would look like:

PG- MCW, Tony Wroten, Casper Ware
SG- Hollis Thompson, Jason Richardson, Sean Kilpatrick
SF- KJ McDaniels, Elliot Williams, Jordan McRae
PF- Thad Young, Brandon Davies, Jerami Grant
C- Nerlens Noel, Henry Sims, Ryan Roberts

IR- Joel Embiid, Pierre Jackson
Europe- Dario Saric, Vasiliji Micic, Arsalan Kazemi, Furkan Aldemir

Am I missing anything obvious?

If you sign a contract with the team, you are counted towards the 15 man. There's no "IR" really.

I could see them not signing Jackson to a contract until he's healthy. Embiid though will almost certainly be signed. So you need to dump someone. Hopefully Davies.

I think/hope Kazemi makes it. I don't think J-Rich does. I hope Davies doesn't.

Kirkpatrick, Williams and Roberts are whatever. Hoping they find some young castoffs to challenge them in training camp.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

Noel looks good so far in his first game here in Vegas. McDaniels with a nice make on a tough shot
