If they don't re-sign Bynum, that's exactly what I'd like to see them do with the cap space this year. Take on an expiring from somebody looking to get into the Dwight sweepstakes, and try to get a pick with very limited protections on it next year, similar to the Raptors pick from the Kyle Lowry trade with hopes that they lose the Dwight sweepstakes. Given that our new fearless non-basketball guy leader was an architect of that trade, I think that's entirely possible.
