I am definitely a Phillies fan first and have a tiny bit of secret shame around the 2004 SB run because there was a little part of me that wanted the Phillies to be the team to end the "drought," but, as much as I love the Sixers, the Eagles are definitely number two for me because I was into them when I was little, the Sixers were a post-high school add for me. Childhood stuff runs deep.

But to the larger point - this is a football town. I know 2008 was great and everybody loved the Phillies but there is no doubt the soul of the city is with the Eagles. If they win it will be crazy town.

Just got home from the greatest sports event I've ever attended. Place was electric. Foles was just fantastic. Inmean even the little stuff like milking the game clock late in the third and early in the Fourth quarters. It was like the football equivalent of Halladays no hitter in the playoffs

Been thinking about it, I'm not sure if any fanbase has ever gotten owned harder than the Minny fans.

- They came to Philadelphia and did their dumb chant that they stole from the iceland soccer team like a year and a half ago at one of Philly's most well known landmarks the day of the game
- Their team proceeded to get blown out
- In the midst of the blow out the Philly fans took their dumb chant and turned it into a chant for their backup qb as he was in the middle of ripping Minny's supposed elite defense apart.
- then in two weeks the eagles travel TO MINNEAPOLIS to play in a super bowl that has surely been a central point of civic pride and development for Minneapolis for years, where tens of thousands of eagles fans will also travel to and assuredly do said mocking chant, reminding them of the above.
- the alternative is rooting for the Patriots

I also liked the story I heard in the Eagles' locker room about how someone tried to pull Nate Sudfeld up on the stage for the postgame trophy presentation because they thought he was Foles. Sudfeld and Foles laughed about it at their lockers after the game.

Some filthy animal pregame posted the Vikings fans were going to take over the Linc. I thought that was pretty dumb on math alone. I will have to say that I am surprised that there were even as many freaking stand as there were. But they got taken down hard, yet still not as hard as they deserve.
