I'm cool with being happy but thousands in the street seems excessive considering we still have one game to win.

Went to Broad and South St, there really is Crisco on every pole. Beautiful.

Out of the 4 major teams in this city, if the Birds win the Super Bowl, the outpouring of unbridled joy will be unreal... the Flyers and Sixers have won it but granted not for a while and the Phillies most recently but the aura of Super Bowl Champions which has eluded generations in this city ... it will be something very special if we beat the Patriots in 2 weeks
Even if you get run over by a clown car and pissed on by a busload of school children, it's still your responsibility to interpret the meaning of the event and choose a response

I've seen some great sports things in my life.
I saw the Phillies win a World Series
I've seen Duke win 5 titles and I was in the building for 1
I saw the Flyers come back from an 0-3 deficit to reach the finals
I saw unc lose at the buzzer to Villanova in person

I consider myself a Phillies fan foremost but if the eagles beat the patriots in 2 weeks it may rank even higher than 1980 for me
I would rather see you lose than win myself
