Please, scold...somebody, I guess... some more, rather than sharing your bright ideas for doing things better.

Or are you just cleansing your palate before sampling a rack full of drumpfian boots? I hear Jeff Sessions' wingtipped tootsies are to die for

Really just stop with this kind of #$!&@. Look at who's next to you, who is more like you than unlike you, then look at who's moving into the god-damned white house soon. Who you with? Grow a pair of #$!&@ balls.

funny coming from our BSG version of Trump: short memory, no substance, bad track record, but a lot of self-confidence!

I'm with Smooth. Condescension and disdain didn't work the first time, so we'd better double down on it to ensure we get 8 full years of "Drumpf"
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

I'm afraid you wouldn't know substance if it bit you on your puckered ass
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Yeah I'm sure your niche liberal issues are why Clinton got crushed in the sticks of Pennsylvania.

We aren't liberal enough is definitely why we lost the electoral college.

I'm going to be mildly amused if Trump leads to a tea party equivalent moron brigade on the left. I imagine it would feel like the insufferable liberal Twitter crowd holding senate and house seats.

Seriously, what the fuck?

If he's talking about drone strikes, I guess it's easy to willfully ignore the liberal groups who spoke out against it, including down of us on here.

But sure he can just stay on his high horse.

Fwiw, if you look at the little spiel from the Hamilton crew it was pretty innocuous.

Do you imbecilic fucks genuinely understand what's happened in the past few days?

A jackass who LOST the popular vote by a MILLION PLUS BALLOTS, who has ZERO capacity to do the job he's been 'elected' to do, an unprincipled, temperamental dunce who endangers your life and the lives of your loved ones while he draws breath, aided & abetted by a cast of characters right out of a Jay Ward cartoon, will be the fucking president of our United States.

sure, I start from a baseline of "I hate everybody", and politics is an endless, grim procession of often soul-curdling compromises. But at the simplest level, you should be inclined to imagine that people mostly like you - people who aren't racists, who aren't bootlickers, who aren't cheering on the aforementioned national embarrassment in chief - are NOT your real 'enemy', and that those who are a collection of mostly the opposite characteristics are people whose inclinations you probably SHOULD resist.

I'll put the length of the list of my personal shortcomings up against anyone's. I wish it weren't so long. It feels like I try to work on trimming it, at least a little, most days. I admit it may be hard for anyone to detect. I don't need anyone scolding me for ... I don't even know what the purpose of that is.

I DO need to hear what anyone thinks ought to be what people should do next. I happen to think there's not THAT much need for huge, radical transformation (see 1 MILLION PLUS MORE POPULAR VOTES), and certainly not for a lot of forelock-tugging and shirt-rending. I could be really wrong about that.

elect Foster Campbell to the US Senate is the current #1 goal.

And calm down smooth. Stop with the insults. I'm not going to say it again.

I agree people that are like-minded need to stick together.

I really don't think it's bad when people critique the Democrats from the left. I don't want a more centrist democratic party

I also don't think it's our "hypocrisy" either, but I do think it's our psychosis. The country, at points, seems like it will split into many fractured parties, but the beast of the GOP and Democrats will probably never die. I think there are many progressive/liberal viewpoints we have not done enough on, but this is not the time to go to civil war with our party. If you want to effect that type of change keep an eye on primaries that may lead to competitive races in 2018 and try and get candidates you agree with more in office.

I think Housh's post is really good, and I'll respond to it when I'm not hungover.

Woody, if you think the left if condescending you should spend 3 minutes on conservative social media. More or less the same thing just a lot of conspiracy sites to support their arguments.

Not at the expense of losing a senate seat in Louisiana, for example. Campbell is a needed person in office and he wouldn't pass the pure liberal test.

This Hamilton thing is just a goddamn distraction and it worked.
