The primaries can't all be one day. Too many candidates. They have to get weaned out. You can quibble with caucus/direct primary, sure but more people voted for Clinton. More people were always going to vote for Clinton.

Imagine this world: Iowa/Caucus states don't love Obama. Hillary wins 08. We either get 4 years of McCain and we're going into Obama's second term now or we're transferring Hillary to Obama.

Just saying that I'm left out of the process and it's a bad process in general. First past the post voting is the worst way to pick anything.

Bernie was never going to win that primary. Hillary was the 2016 candidate the moment that Obama won in 08. I don't think he even wanted to win, I'm pretty sure his goal was just to pull the party to the left.

it would appear enough people didn't give a shit that donald trump is a horrible, inept person. should've highlighted issues like the auto bailout (he was against, obama did it), i guess.

On this gloomy day, I want to give our board a shout out. We're obviously all worried about how this will affect us. However, most of us are more concerned about others, especially those less fortunate. To me, that's more powerful and sustainable than anything that can happen in the coming years.

Iowa's unemployment rate is 3.8%. Michigan's is 5.4%. PA's is 5.4%. Wisconsin's is 4.4%

i'm not fully buying the idea that this is about the poor economy. real wages have gone up over the past year for the first time in YEARS. i look at the white/black/latino/asian breakdowns and i see a rather stark tale. i simply do.

The funny thing is that republicans will now get a ton of things done during the next 4 years while people will look back at the Obama years as ineffectual.

Yes. This was not a change election. It was I don't want that mosque to go up downtown election. It was a I don't want a Somali family moving in next door election. It was a I don't want to work alongside a Latino man election. It was a I don't want black people to vote election. It was a I don't want homosexuals to openly be able to love each other election. That is not change. That is regression. That is fear. That is hatred.
