Ana Navarro is a super conservative like I'm fit and trim. She's been, rightfully, against Trump the whole time, but she was also a prominent pro-Jeb/anti-Rubio gossip source. And really has never actually done anything as a political consultant but somehow has a job on CNN anyway.

Yes, she's a talking head, but she is closer to the pulse of Latinos (especially Cubans ) than a steve Schmidt is. I don't know why msnbc throws him out there.

For some reason the networks aren't putting lots of never-trumpers of actual influence on right now.. .could be they have no influence.

In the immediate term, though, the tape is threatening to crack Trump's support within the GOP, whose leaders must weigh whether its worth it to defend Trump and risk poisoning the party brand or distance themselves and risk demoralizing their base.

I think this must be the 50th time i've heard this since Trump's nomination. Obviously no matter what trump says the GOP will support him to the end

She's closer to the pulse of Cubans (though she's Nicaraguan) than Steve Schmidt, who is a white fella. She is a Republican because she hates Ortega and Communism. She probably isn't a big fan of taxes or whatnot. But she's about as reliable of a squish as you could get as a talking head Republican on CNN.

I think all the networks put #NeverTrump people out there disproportionately to their actual influence within the GOP because so much of the consultant class and professional conservative media is opposed to him. It's very difficult to find people within the professional GOP who legitimately support him.

If #NeverTrump people have no influence, they have no influence, but not sure why you mock people taking a stand against their party and against their personal interests. You can beat the GOP with the Trump stick for the next three decades. The prominent members of the party who were willing to put themselves out there as opposing the nominee are taking a big risk. Trump is getting far less of the GOP vote than any nominee in recent memory, and that has to be in part due to prominent GOP figures willing to oppose Trump. But they get mocked anyway. Not sure what the upside is to come out against the nominee in an environment like that.
