Donald fails the sniff test (politics)

There's a Mormon was woman on NPR talking about how Mormons are peaceful and Muslims went to kill us. And how they want to come and more less, and a Trump style way, shoot up the school where you're kid goes. When she was told that I majority of the school shooters are white men, she went on to say she just does not believe that. This is what makes me nervous, fax or optional and core beliefs based on nothing are the Trump card and the calling.

quite a lot of Mormons detest the anti-Muslim policy of Trump, they know their own history of discrimination and see parallels
add in the fact that they see Trump as someone who is far from being moral. I think you'll see many of them voting for Evan McMullin

That is one of the things that took it so far off the rails. It starts as similar, then went haywire. I was expecting the parallels discussion, but it went wide and to the right with the hate thing. I guess it was an NRP spin on the WaPo article.

SIX polls in the field between Thursday and Sunday. ALL of them have Clinton leading by 5-7 points in a head-to-head.

I think the real race is who will get shot first. Will it be someone trying to save the republic from Trump or someone who has bought the lies about hillary coming for their guns?

This one was an Arizona mormon (which actually has a pretty large mormon population, I think).

And don't be nervous. This is Trump's base...the 30% of people who are going to vote for him no matter what. Good news is they're mostly concentrated in deeply red states and won't affect the outcome of the election.

Isn't Assange set to release something today that is supposedly gonna end Hillary? Not that I believe anything could end any of these guys.

That has gotten air play on DC news all day. Lets face it, the altruism is wearing off with meddling in politics. WikiLeaks is turning toward being the hacker communities front page, and ASSange is showing to be in it for his own glory. look at me, over here, I'm a good guy, see how smart I am (maybe he is Trump's illegitimate child).

He's been like this for years. It's been very brave of them to release the names of gay people in countries where they can be killed for it and personal information from dnc donors and medical records of children and rape victims. Dude's a rapist piece of garbage.

Glad she made the distinction because I often confuse Mormons and Muslims. Hell, until recently I thought Mitt Romney had been born in Kenya.

So the RNC released an ad attacking Tim Kaine for being a defense attorney. What a sophomoric ad, attacking him for defending rapists and murderers, as if the Constitution does not apply to those people. I also love the quote from Kaine about a piece of him dying with the execution of a client, as if that makes him an animal instead of a religious politician who is morally conflicted when it comes to capital punishment.

It really is a bad ad.

any chance the VP debate gives Clinton a bump? He seems pretty likable and I don't think people will like Pence's views once they hear them. And for those who think Clinton is going to drop over dead any second, her VP pick might ease their minds.

If you're trying to change those minds, lots of luck.

New CBS poll: No one knows who Mike Pence and Tim Kaine are.

Pence: 19-13% favorability (67% idk)
Kaine: 24-19% favorability (57% idk)

Agree that Kaine should come off pretty well once Pence gets directly attacked in front of 50 million people for his extreme right views. Not sure it will move the needle a lot though since it's already moving very quickly in Clinton's direction.

VP debates rarely, if ever, move the poll. Kaine's best bet is to show how dysfunctional the ticket is, or to get Pence to come off angry for having to clean up after the Orange Orangutan.
