I think I asked this before, but does anybody have any "insider info" on revenues from a large-scale concert?

In the "old days", you'd pay a ticket price, and if you didn't go to the venue to buy the ticket, maybe 2 bucks to ticketmaster.

Today I just bought 4 seats (right around shortstop) for the 9/9 Bruce show at CBP. $150 each.

BUT THEN:

Facility Fee- $6 per ticket
PER TICKET FEE: $28 per ticket
PER ODER FEE: $10

I'd love to know (for example): does CBP only get $6 per head? Still isn't bad. Maybe $275K. If so, what does that include? Just the facility and utilities? Or does the venue provide (and pay) the ushers, security, and ticket takers?

WTF is the "Per Ticket Fee"? You mean to tell me the people that simple broker the tickets get 5x more than the actual facility?
If there's a "Per Ticket" fee, was an additional "Per Order" fee? Greed, I guess?

So that leaves us with the $150 per ticket. Who gets that? I imagine the production company gets a huge chunk of that- it takes a lot of trucks, people, and equipment to produce, supply, and move a show of this magnitude. I think shows like this typically have like 50 or so techs/roadies as part of the traveling crew, and another 100 or so union stagehands as gameday employees. So that ain't cheap.

And how much is left over for the band? Does Bruce personally net like $100K for a show like this?

INQUIRING MINDS NEED TO KNOW!!!!

Insides were a disaster for a couple mornings and arms only getting itchier. Knew it was coming.

Never had it for 30 years then just like that... Every year now

Dude, me too. Going to see dr tomorrow. Ankles and lower legs are bad, and right forearm is covered from stuffing what I thought were just weeds into lawn bags. Every time I go to apply calamine, I find new spots popping up. Ugh.

As is my usual process for spending money, I mentioned back in May that I was considering replacing my portable AC unit with a larger window unit but waited until a night like last night with sweat actually dripping off of me to make me decide to pick one up after work.

Anyone have any last minute recommendations for a 12-15k BTU window AC unit before I buy this Frigidaire I'm looking at at Lowes?

WOW WHAT WILL THEY THING OF NEXT. *YOUR* COMFORT LEVEL!!

Electronic controls allow you to set the thermostat to your preferred comfort level

But srsly, I was just looking for a new 5K for my office. I wanted to get a smart unit (Wifi enabled), but the smallest they seem to make them in 8K. Which is also the largest they seem to make them. So you're SOL too.

But this this has a 24 hour timer, so at least you can have the chateau cooled down in time for your arrival home from work at the coal mines

I'm pretty sure there's a company that sells what is essentially a wifi adapter attached to an IR Blaster that lets you control any AC from their app...

Yup, company's called Tado and they appear to cost about $120-150 more than they rightly should.

Temp got up to 93 humid-ass degrees while I was manhandling the dawned thing into the window. I think I may have lost about 10 pounds in the process.
