conversely 80% of white voters who identify as "evangelical" say they are voting for that individual.

Can someone explain to me what this "evangelical" business has to do with anything remotely resembling religion? Because the way it looks to me, by casting those votes, those people are going straight to hell
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Unless she promises not to run again, which would be a tremendous boost in this election and also incredibly unlikely. If she wins 2016 I might throw a few K on generic R in 2020.

Rachel Maddow just reported that the following people will speak on night one of the Democratic convention:

Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Cory Booker.

That's a great line-up.

If she wins in 2016 she is most likely going to win reelection. People haven't rocked the boat much in that regard. They stick with the incumbent.

Hillary is more unpopular right now than HW was in 1992.

'generic R' doesn't exist, though. that has to be filled by a person. and people have to vote.

regardless, it's 2020. 2016 isn't even finished yet.

Hillary is struggling with quite possibly the most unpopular politician in American history. I'm not sure how you can say she would most likely win against another candidate in 2020.

Was more a reference to the Senate map in 2018. Hillary will want RBG to retire at the end of the coming term so the new Senate (whether Dem controlled or narrow GOP majority with people like Collins providing the needed votes) gets to confirm her justices.

Dems control 25 of the 33 seats up in 2018. Heller in NV and Flake in AZ may face races, otherwise it's hunting season. IN, MO, MT, WV, ND so five real red states, then FL (open?), OH, PA, WI, MI, ME (open?), VA (openish?). If Hillary is unpopular and we keep the stepping on our own dick in the primaries to a minimum it could be ridiculous.

because she would've already won. incumbent politicians tend to win.

the only reason GHWB lost was because a third party idiot was involved. The Democrats got very lucky that election.

That's a myth.

And the last party to win more than 3 consecutive terms were the Dems from 1932-52.

Hillary's a decent bet to be a one-termer, but if I were putting money on it right now I'd have to think Hillary x 2 is more likely because right now I think it's likely there is a mild-ish 2000 type recession in the early part of her first term that we are "recovering" or recovered from by 2020.

Timing is everything. If the next recession hits in mid-2019 or later, she's toast. Otherwise, she'll be fine.

Yep, like most protest candidates he drew equally from right and left. Perot was sort of like a nicer version of Trump, economic populist, less racism, more slightly goofy.

Define "struggling."

She is polling under 50% nationally.

More legitimately wealthy, and much more pragmatic in his way. and using Patsy Cline's Crazy as a theme tune was inspired, to say nothing of in impeccable musical taste.
