when i sell things it updates the instant I drop it off at the post office that it's in route. i guess the buyer doesn't see that???

no i'm saying sometimes with the usps it doesn't update all the time. if you create the label at home, the buyer gets that notification, but then either the USPS doesn't always update or the person doesn't mail it right away so there's a delay
