Took a page out of Henry's book and took a sick day today. Now I'm watching PHILLIES SPRING TRAINING BASEBALL on TV. Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta.

1. It's not so much the lost hour I object to, it's that it's a lost hour of weekend. If we have to turn the clocks ahead, let's do it on Thursday. Everyone hates Thursday.
2. We get a fixed amount of daylight. Manipulating the clock doesn't change that.
3. I find the extra hour of dark in the morning annoying, and that outweighs any gain I might get from the extra hour of daylight after work.
4. If everyone could just be a little patient, the oscillation of the earth would give us the extra daylight we want.

-people work during the day
-little league and softball games therefore can't start until 6/6:30
-lots and lots of fields don't have lights
-without the clock change the usable season would then be like 6 weeks

I'm not going to like waking up in the dark again but I'll really like it being light until near 7.

And the weekend loss is fine. It sucks now but you gain it back in the fall so whatever. Would be worse to lose an hour of sleep during the week.

You wouldn't have to lose an hour of sleep. That hour between 3-4 pm is pretty much the longest hour of the day anyway, skip that one.

It's back for me but I was getting a SPA/waiting room page for a while. Twitter was also going nuts about it.
