So lately I've been getting frequent (daily at least) serious heartburn and after about every meal I get overwhelmingly nauseous. No vomiting or diarrhea or blood anywhere though. I feel like I should really go to the Dr.

Had this back in my mid 20's. Didn't matter what I ate, I would get heartburn right after it. I let it go and just lived on antacids and pepsid (Prilosec etc. was still only available by Rx at the time). So let it go for a year or two just downing various antacids. Then on a weekend in AC after a night of heavy drinking I started puking blood. Went to the doctor had a bunch of tests done and they told me I had a hiatal hernia. The blood was from erosions in my esophagus from all the heartburn. So anyway, since then I take over the counter Prilosec now and I'm good to go for the most part, have to be somewhat careful of what I eat, but it's not too bad.
