Got into a verbal fight with a Russkie at the park today. I think we've all been there.

A buddy and I had to basically babysit this Russian guy another friend was dating who had gotten wasted. We streamed Rocky 4 until we all passed out

Was it Family Matters as in family is important or as in family situations? Or both?

this reminds me of a weird story from a few years ago, sans the russkie. while at a beer league softball game, i'm jogging out to left field and notice these two female asians, one pushing 60 and the other in her early 20s. well, they have these two, young huskies, couldn't have been more than 6 months old. well, they're way of training the dogs involved hitting the pups with a tennis racquet. the girl on my team playing in left-center has turned completely white in horror. so, i go over and tell them to stop. the younger asian pretends to not understand english. the older woman tells me to go pound sand. i tell her if i see her hit the dog again, i'm calling the police.

i go back to the game. halfway though the inning, she's hitting the dog again with the racquet. i go over and tell her one last time to stop. she takes a swing at me. at this point, the softball teams, mine included, is seeing what's transpiring and is completely bewildered.

as i go to get my phone to call the police, as fate would have it, one of the guys on the other team was a local cop. the 60 year old lady was arrested for disorderly conduct.

we won that game by like 50. in my 6 years on this team, we've lost once.

at lunch today with my wife (at 11:15am, mind you):

as you can tell by the time, it's not the normal time for lunch on a saturday. if anything, maybe brunch. nonetheless, as you can imagine, the restaurant and bar are relatively empty, with the exception of my wife and myself.

in walk these two women, early-30s, not subscribers to the BSG Fitness thread. here's the following interaction with the bartender.

bartender - what can i get you guys to eat
girl #1 - well, i'm hungry but don't want an entree really.
bartender - well, the loaded nachos are a pretty big serving. will easily hit the spot and you'll have some to take home.
girl #1 - are you sure it will be big enough?
bartender - yeah, absolutely. if you finish it, there's a beer on me. on the house.
girl #2 - she is single now, so you might not want to do that.
girl #1 - haha yeah. she's not lying.
bartender - if you finish it, the next round is on me.
girl #1 - okay, i'll take that.
girl #2 - i'll have a hamburger, side of sweet potato fries.

as we were leaving, she was still going strong. for perspective, i've seen 4 people at a table not finish that nacho appetizer.
