i almost just had a freakin heart attack

added 16GB memory to my computer. figured while i had the case open i'd finally add the 2nd SSD and create a mirrored drive in case one craps the bed. So I did all that OK, started up the mirroring software, it copied everything, figured I'm golden. I'll reboot for good measure to make sure everything is good. while i'm rebooting my lyft showed up (picking up car from state inspection) so I didn't watch the boot. Get home and windows is installing updates and most of my icons are gone and when I start outlook it's the old version. WTF. I figured I copied from the wrong drive to the good drive (both came out of my old PC in May 2014 so it would be bootable) but it didn't really seem to make sense. Was panicking and getting ready to restore a full backup I did yesterday but couldn't find THAT file on the 1TB HDD (data drive, the original boot drive when I got this machine). So before I headed out to jump off a bridge I realized that the machine had booted off the old 1TB hard drive and not the new RAID volume I just created. So just had to shut down and go into bios and change the boot disk and now I'm back to normal. Ya would think that the Intel RAID program thingy would let the BIOS know that the boot disk identifier was updated.

I apparently bought a bunch of crap while drunk over thanksgiving weekend. I've had several packages show up the past few days and I'm like oh, I bought this! Thankfully nothing really expensive or anything, so far

Star Trek into darkness bluray ($5)
Fire tv stick ($25)
Jurassic World collectors bluray ($9)
Hand crank burr grinder ($12)
Aladdin bluray ($10)
Ghostbusters 1&2 bluray ($9)

Now I just need to figure out who to gift this stuff to.
man I drew all these penises for nothing - housh
