If I had to choose between red and yellow fire engines I would choose yellow every time.

I've taken a real interest in drumming and percussion the last few months. Would love to learn, but I guess I should get a house before the kit so my neighbors don't murder me in my sleep.

I think they already did, I never hear them anymore. Or they moved out or made up (ha!). I'd like to think they killed each other.

Lansdale is pretty cool. Has a bit of a small town country vibe even though it's just another suburban town in a sea of them.

In the price range you're talking about, you're probably looking at one of the older twins/townhouses. Which is fine, that's what I have, though I'd kill a hobo for a second bathroom now that I have kids.

Let me know if you have any more specific questions.

Get a Roland or Yamaha kit. They've really figured out electronic drums in the past decade. I can give you lessons over Hangouts.

think i'ma try to pick up an e-drummer for the new band. yeah, acoustic drums are better blah blah, but the volume required then automatically locks you out of a lot of smaller venues.

I grew up there. It was a place to grow up. The downtown was sad as hell when I was a kid but I think it may have improved a bit. It always had potential. Phatj would know better than I.

Also, Rays has good cheesesteaks, Freddy Hill is superior to Merry Mead, and you can probably bang some of the skanks I graduated with at The Pizza Pub, if that's your sort of thing.
