Someone who is good at math tell me how fast, in miles per hour, a person blinks. The average blink takes 1/3 second and the size of an average eye is 24 mm.

We lost trivia on a question and this may have been the key!

Distance over time?

I've Googled and literally no one has an exact answer. Either Internet is lazy or there is no true answer.

Back of the envelope after a few drinks and watching baseball and the answer seems wrong (though I think the starting point for why this feels incorrect may be blinking takes less than 1/3 second)

~1/40th of a meter 3*60*60~=10000x per hour

10000/40=250 meters per hour=.25 kph=.15 mph

With those numbers, 24mm over one third of a second is .072m/s which is equivalent to 0.161mph. Those numbers don't seem right to me, though.

Someone tell me about Lansdale. Houses in Lansdale are in the price range my wife and I can afford.

I haven't been there in a 3 or so years, but I can confirm that it is, for the most part, neither gas nor liquid.

It's fine. You'll be fine
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Houses there are like, way cheaper than anywhere else in the area. We're pre-approved but only up to 230K.

you can get more though. When I bought this house, the pre-approval was $240K. So we looked at our current house and it was listed for $329K. A friend who is real estate lawyer said "make an offer, it's business, not personal". So I offered the $240K because I thought that's all I could do. Then my mortgage broker yelled at me (she's a friend) "No! That really means nothing!" But thanks to my initial low-ball offer, that started the negotiations and we ended up settling at $260K. Had I not had that low pre-approval, I probably would have offered like 290 and settled at 300
