Thanks to what doctors call “a miracle surgery,” an Australian toddler is on the mend after enduring a near-death car accident that caused his head to detach from his body.

i feel ya. took me over a year to find shoes i like. My clarks lasted me nearly 5 years. The last year was with the entire shoe just falling apart. The final straw was taking in water everytime i rained. Was gonna take them to get re-soled but the leather is pretty beat up as well. I still might.
My dress shoes for special occasions are pretty nice. got some solid compliments on them at the wedding this weekend.
Whats the deal with the toe box on mens shoes now a days? what an awful trend! No one wants a toe box that extends 4 inches out from their toe. its just fucking dumb. Then there's the line or whatever that just runs perpendicular to the shoe. so dumb. took me a year to find work dress shoes because every fucking shoe had a huge toe box and a stupid line

A somewhat extended toe box is way better than a square toe. I'm OK with the line too.jamiethekiller wrote:Soren wrote:I dislike something like 95% of dress shoes and wish the ones I had which I loved didn't fall apart.

Yeah, i hear you. There's definitely a sweet spot to be found. I'm 5'8" with a dress shoe 9 so I'm in the same boat.jamiethekiller wrote:i don't like square toe boxes either! i prefer them rounded and actually somewhat relative to the same size as my foot. i'm a 5'7" and i have a 8.5/9 shoe. i don't need to look like a fucking clown
