there is a bachelor party this weekend. Friday-Monday. I made it pretty clear I was just coming for a day and not spending the night and asked for the itinerary so i could figure it out. this was a month ago.

just was called out in the group email as not having paid.

emailed the organizer directly explaining i figured i would just pay for whatever activity i am there for (golf, fishing, whatever). he said it is an all inclusive trip and i still have to pay the price or it is unfair to the other guys.

that is an easy way to get me not to come.

if he did waiter-type duty, pay him a bit. not as much as if he brought you your food, but still a few bucks. I usually leave a couple ones for them to disperse or I just hand a dollar or two directly to the person that is cleaning off my plates and then a buck or two to the person with the drinks if they are a different person.

seems like a weird way to run a bachelor party weekend. you inevitably have the day trip guy who comes down and pays for what he does (if it's AC for example).

well THAT was a bad idea in hindsight.

figured me and the kid would try the buffet instead of the usual restaurant we lunch at (Cafe Roma). I *thought* it was like 10 bucks; a place to cheaply feed the gamblers so they can go lose money for another 8 hours. But it was 25 bucks each (after the $2 each discount for the Total Rewards card, which I got soley to save $ on parking). Then I was walking around the place for like 5 minutes looking for the beverages. Sat back down, and the dude came up and took our drink order and brought the kid and apple juice and me a diet pepsi. THEN I see the next table over leaving and they throw a bill on the table. That's when I posted here in a panic. The smallest bill I had was a tenner. So it was 63 bucks for the two of us, and the kid only had 2 slices of pizza and two brownies. I pigged out, but not 50 bucks worth.

All inclusive... Wtf is this some damn cruise you're going on? I've been to bachelor parties like what you described in Vegas and rocky point and while some went all in for the entire time, there were always a few who couldn't do the entire time for some reason and had zero problem doing things ala carte. If the dude is not a close friend, blow it off and post some pics doing coke in the bathroom with a naked dancer at delilah's.

I'm still mad I was put in a position to plan a Bachelor/Bachelorette party two years ago.

to be fair, two years notice did give you a lot of time to plan. Are you saying you've waited till the night before the party 8-)
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

We tried the Atlantic City thing for mine. The night before was great, at the Phillies game, but the next day, well, let's just say I have a great many stories about it. Some good, some pathetic.
Together we will win this game against the evil Space Yankees! Eat Fresh!

Ok guys, here's the mission:
-My wife is the social director of the pool we belong to. She has created this popular night where we set up an outdoor projector and play a kids movie, while the parents have a craft beer swap--they've been super fun the previous two times she set them up. Tomorrow night is the last one. It also coincides with the Eagles game. I don't want all the Birds fans to bail and make her feel like it failed. Also, I want to watch the game.
-So I need to get the game on a TV there. I can bring a 37 inch TV we have to the pool and plug it in outside, but we have no cable jack and no wifi--but you do get fine 4G reception there. What's the best route? I think I might buy a $15 HD antenna and set up the TV and hope that we can get decent reception. Any other thoughts?

you dont want the people there who are going to watch a preseason game over an outdoor movie and beer swap tbh

It's a kid's movie (Home) so that doesn't really keep adults' attention. And we kinda drink at the pool every night so that's actually not as unique as it sounds. Our pool is kinda cool, ask Grote. Oh yeah, did you know that Grote and I are building BSG suburban dad flop house?
