WELL JEN Armstrong, our opinions once more are diametric opposites. I watch Katie present the weather and recently I was struck by how unattractive she appeared while being displayed on television. I kept my mouth shut, however, because after all it's her decision and if she doesn't mind how she looks it's her problem to deal with. But in retrospect it's my problem as well and so I switched television channels, because that's my prerogative as well, and I only have to satisfy me.
This is just another case for political correctness which I don't support. And as for that tired line exemplifying this as a badge of motherhood, I agree with that except for the fact that my mother and my children's mother did not appear every night on television to reinforce their thinking, no matter what other people think.
Hate me if you will but that's the way it is and thinking only of yourself in similar instance is just another example of the me-first generation dragging the rest of us down to their level.
