Like you figured out, it's a old time standard thing to say. I started using it for RBI men (and you need those). Now it's kinda fun just to throw it out there. Makes me chuckle anyways. And you need those too.

Carrot cake is my favorite cake.
So far the Eagles have been unable willing to at least make a good will jester - Garry Cobb, Professional Sportswriter

Carrot cakes are good. I'm not sure where in the continuum zucchini bread-banana bread-carrot cake you go from cake to bread, but all are pretty good.
