Are you tying that to the fact that eating meat is unnecessary? I can agree with that but if you choose to eat meat then hunting for sport and food is different.

This specifically sucks but hunting in general is pretty much similar in that the animal is dead. We then eat it. I'm not against that. I'm not against it in general, though.

Sitting in a tree isn't really heroic, either.

In any event, I have no problem with responsible hunters. This guy wasn't one; if it was responsible to kill lions, then I'm all for it.

We don't eat dogs or horses in this country for pretty specious reasons. Just the general double standard that gets to me, I guess.

Vick went to jail for three years because of the gambling aspect.

Yeah if I recall it was mostly for the interstate illegal gambling aspects, less so about the acts of dog killing

Well, that may be the legal rationale, but isn't it probable that had he simply been involved gambling, and not killing dogs as part of it he would have received more of s slap on the wrist?

i don't think a court of law judged him more harshly for the dogs

killa dentist claims everything was legit and he had no idea it was a beloved animal. This guy was also fined in 2003 for illegal fishing in Minnesota, then $3K for illegally killing a bear in Wisconsin in 2006, the same year he was sued for sexual harassment and settled for $127K. He closed down his dental practice yesterday and took the website offline.
