Headed to Vegas on Sunday tillThursday, for work

I can tell I'm getting really old because I'm more looking forward to sleeping in a huge bed by myself* than any of the actual Vegas trappings

I know this is long and all but if you get a chance this is pretty awesome.

Two awkward moments today.

1. Went to Wawa for some morning coffee. Saw that it was free. The lines were both 6 or 7 people deep and wasn't sure if I should even wait in line if mine was free. I probably should have cut in line or something and shown the cashier the coffee, but I just left instead. Hope the popo don't show up at my door.

2. At lunch, I saw one of our new hires in line and gave the courtesy head nod. He's a bigger man and sat down at a table for two where I don't think I would fit comfortably. I sat at a different table, because it's my lunch goddamnit. And I'll Asomugha any time I want.

I eat my lunch at my desk. I don't commingle with my coworkers. I'm too buy reading or BSG'ing.

I think my family should spend the occasional evening this summer playing Yahtzee. Cocktails, Louis Armstrong, Yahtzee--sounds really nice.

I am not sure if this is a sarcastic post or not but we do that quite a bit. The sumemr is nice because we can take it outside.

1. I live right down the street from Wawa and meant to go get my free coffee but never had an opening. The place was packed the entire time I was home, though.

2. I also just scarf my lunch down at my desk so I can cruise the interwebs, read or go for a walk. I used to do the lunch room thing but it was utterly unsatisfying conversation with the people that work here.

Humble apologies, then. Have fun.

We do game nights pretty often. Cook some food, put on music, my wife and I have some cocktails and play a board type game. Another that the whole family likes is Quirkle.

one of my favorite times was when the power last went out; we brought out the candles and the monopoly and had a fun night.

I play a lot of Life, Payday, Sorry, and Yahtzee right now. All pretty solid, and the remake of Life didn't ruin it which is rare for game remakes (at least as far as nostalgia is concerned).

I really want to dust off the Stratego and teach it to my nephew. He wants to play Risk but I don't think I have the patience for that.

Risk.. i used to play super long sessions of it only as far back as 2 years ago. It would take place over 3 weeks, 4-5 nights with a 2-3 hr session each. It was disgusting fun

We had to ban Life from being played at my house. Takes too long and my wife and I have to work to hard as the kids can't be trusted to handle the in-game duties.

I loved Payday when i was a kid.

We play a lot of Yahtzee, Sorry, Quirkle, Apples to Apples and Who, What, Where.

My wife and I are going to a freinds' house tomorrow night to play Cards Against Humanity.

Interesting. Tomorrow will be my second time playing so I will have to see. I think it is more just an excuse to hang out with friends, drink and be inappropriate.
