if she transitioned, she's a woman. i guess i don't see the big deal. there won't be dozens of people purposely transitioning simply to do well in MMA. if she's better, she's better.

also never understood the controversy around boys playing field hockey. thems the breaks, girls, if they're better than you. the school doesn't offer a boy's equivalent, so they should be allowed to play.

anyway, guess i'm in the minority on this one.

if she's now legally a woman what are you going to do, institute a 'no trannies!!!!!' rule? i guess you could, but i would find that ridiculous. so she may have some shoulders, who gives a shit? work harder, then. if you're not good enough, oh well. Rousey's yet to lose. Fox has. I don't even know what we're arguing about since the born as a woman woman is actually better!

always thought it was dumb when boys played field hockey. i remember watching a game and the guy was just bigger. it wasnt like he was the most skilled player out there he could just reach further than the 5'5 girls bc he was 6'1. that seems like a distinct physical advantage that doesnt have to do with his penis.

yeah, when i was there fleetwood had at least one guy at the hs level that i remember. he was pretty athletic but i don't recall him dominating. not sure if they still allow it.

but height isnt really distinct toward men. you said so yourself, he was less skilled too.

However , her experience pretty well encapsulates my feelings about the subject, whether it's transgender athletes or just athletes of one sex playing a sport that is only available to another. That is, I understand the objections, but they are almost always theoretical, whereas having the chance to participate is very, very personal. So I'm of the feeling to just let 'em play. If it actually gets to be a problem, then deal with the problem. But almost always there are worst case prognostications that never come true.

Hey guys, I have a neighbor problem, and I'm not sure how to handle it. My property in the back yard slopes down sharply, and there is a fence at the bottom. The neighbor at the bottom of the hill seems to be dumping his leaves in my yard, and I don't know exactly how to confront him. He's a nice guy, quick to lend me a tool, but I don't want 30 cubic yards of leaves (it's much much much more than you think) dumped in my backyard. I'm able to use some of it for compost, but I still have a shit-ton of leaves left over. I don't really like confrontation, so I'm thinking I just put in an electric fence and slip a note under his door. Anyone have other ideas?
