Feeling like I could conquer the world
I'm going to overhaul my iPhone soon. My screen is obliterated, the battery is wonky and the camera is fucked. I'm going to order all the parts tonight and do the replacement work by the end of the week hopefully.
Replacing the battery was more stressful than childbirth, especially when I closed the phone all back up with the new battery and it WOULDN'T TURN ON. instant sphincter clench. Luckily it was just a slightly loose connection that I easily fixed.
My recommendation is to get some plastic cups and put one of the microscopic screws into each. Because if you don't they seem like they'd probably just blink out of existence...
This is the battery I bought, which came with even more (actually useful) tools than it shows in the pictures. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DDZ ... =zowiro-20
Thanks for (just) the tip. I ordered that battery you linked along with a screen and camera from amazon. Gonna get it done one night this week. I'll report back
So, I got all of my stuff yesterday and replaced my wife's iphone battery first. Easy peasy, I used your suggestion of putting the screws and shields in plastic cups which worked out great. Took my 20 min to replace the battery start to finish.
Then I went to work on mine... first off, replacing the camera module is a fucking bitch. You have to remove the entire motherboard from the phone, which means taking every single thing out of there. then the camera module is a pain in the ass to put in because the flash part has a ribbon that you have to bend around and twist to get it into it's little housing. Took me a while to get that in place, but finally did it. The screen replacement was much easier, I got that in and transferred over the front facing camera, earpiece and home button without any trouble. Got everything hooked back up and fired the phone up. Screen came on, had a very blue tint to it, but whatever, it was better that the busted ass screen I had before. Tried to take a picture, and that worked, but the flash did not. I was not going to take out my $14 camera module and return it because the flash didn't work after all that effort to take everything out and then replace it. Fuck that. So I'm playing with my phone, making sure everything works, and it did. Then I wake up this morning and the screen is black, won't turn on even though it was plugged in overnight. So I took the screen off again thinking maybe something was loose or something, and then as soon as I got the cover off, I could see that the screen's backlight was working but the screen itself was just black. Tried disconnecting/reconnecting everything, nothing worked. So I guess I got a bad screen, contacted the seller and now I have to return it and they'll give me a refund, so I ordered another screen, from a different seller, and had it overnighted, so now I get to try again tomorrow. Can't wait

well, i was wrong. he found a nest of just born baby bunnies. he got one. injured another (was bleeding all over my hand). a third one died shortly after birth i think. and a fourth one wasn't impacted at all as it was at the bottom of the hole/nest. didn't think my pup had that in him. this is the second nest this year; last time he just sat around the nest and barked like crazy.
i put the 2 alive bunnies back in the nest and tried to make it look uninterrupted in hopes that the mother would continue to come back. they weren't there this morning. probably shouldn't have put the injured one back in there with the healthy one.
