Feeling like I could conquer the world

I'm going to overhaul my iPhone soon. My screen is obliterated, the battery is wonky and the camera is fucked. I'm going to order all the parts tonight and do the replacement work by the end of the week hopefully.

Replacing the battery was more stressful than childbirth, especially when I closed the phone all back up with the new battery and it WOULDN'T TURN ON. instant sphincter clench. Luckily it was just a slightly loose connection that I easily fixed.

My recommendation is to get some plastic cups and put one of the microscopic screws into each. Because if you don't they seem like they'd probably just blink out of existence...

This is the battery I bought, which came with even more (actually useful) tools than it shows in the pictures. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DDZ ... =zowiro-20

Thanks for (just) the tip. I ordered that battery you linked along with a screen and camera from amazon. Gonna get it done one night this week. I'll report back

So, I got all of my stuff yesterday and replaced my wife's iphone battery first. Easy peasy, I used your suggestion of putting the screws and shields in plastic cups which worked out great. Took my 20 min to replace the battery start to finish.

Then I went to work on mine... first off, replacing the camera module is a fucking bitch. You have to remove the entire motherboard from the phone, which means taking every single thing out of there. then the camera module is a pain in the ass to put in because the flash part has a ribbon that you have to bend around and twist to get it into it's little housing. Took me a while to get that in place, but finally did it. The screen replacement was much easier, I got that in and transferred over the front facing camera, earpiece and home button without any trouble. Got everything hooked back up and fired the phone up. Screen came on, had a very blue tint to it, but whatever, it was better that the busted ass screen I had before. Tried to take a picture, and that worked, but the flash did not. I was not going to take out my $14 camera module and return it because the flash didn't work after all that effort to take everything out and then replace it. Fuck that. So I'm playing with my phone, making sure everything works, and it did. Then I wake up this morning and the screen is black, won't turn on even though it was plugged in overnight. So I took the screen off again thinking maybe something was loose or something, and then as soon as I got the cover off, I could see that the screen's backlight was working but the screen itself was just black. Tried disconnecting/reconnecting everything, nothing worked. So I guess I got a bad screen, contacted the seller and now I have to return it and they'll give me a refund, so I ordered another screen, from a different seller, and had it overnighted, so now I get to try again tomorrow. Can't wait :q

Got my new screen today and replaced the old one, works great. Color is a little bit off, blue tinted it seems, and there are two dead pixels, but fuck it. I'm not replacing it again.

A bit disappointed the Flyers thread wasn't full of instant hateful hottakes about a Canadian high school hockey player.

so i let my dog out in the backyard last night to do his final business before bed. i followed him out and saw him sniffing around a spot right off the patio. he's a hound so this wasn't unusual. after a few seconds, his nose kept going further and further into the ground. i originally thought he found a field mouse, which happens from time to time and generally results in him barking and hitting it with his paw since he has no friggin clue what it is.

well, i was wrong. he found a nest of just born baby bunnies. he got one. injured another (was bleeding all over my hand). a third one died shortly after birth i think. and a fourth one wasn't impacted at all as it was at the bottom of the hole/nest. didn't think my pup had that in him. this is the second nest this year; last time he just sat around the nest and barked like crazy.

i put the 2 alive bunnies back in the nest and tried to make it look uninterrupted in hopes that the mother would continue to come back. they weren't there this morning. probably shouldn't have put the injured one back in there with the healthy one.

My dogs do that shit all the time. One time I think one of them ate the bunny. He vomited it up on the carpet later that day.

I think you have enough evidence to move past the "I think" stage.

My mother in law had the same thing happen in Oklahoma many years ago. Dog found the nest and started bringing the little bunnies back to the front porch. Three of them. Father in law brought them in the house. Dog figured it out and ate the rest of the brood.

Mother in law and mrs Smitty called a vet and he said that can feed the little things kittens milk out of a dropper. They did it but two died. One lived. Once he started pooping we knew he would live. Sure enough, a few days later the eyes opened up. A few more days and he looked like a mini bunny.

We named him Lucky Pooper. He was the lone survivor and we knew he would live nice he pooped. This the name.

We ended up transporting him to Washington. He was able to run free in the apartment and then the house. We got him the Taj Mahal of cages. He ran around the house, under the bed was his cave. He went out through the door to his cage to poop and pee.

He was amazing.

Lived for eight years.

Life span is normally 1-2 years.

Many years after we had him, we found out if you find a disturbed nest, you should take the baby bunnies to a rehabilitator. Because it's impossible to have a wild cottontail as a domestic pet. But we done it.

So there.

Doing yard work today then went to go and clean the garage out and rolled my fucking ankle. Holy shit this fucking hurts. Thought I dislocated it initially, but it's all intact apparently, but mother fucker does it hurt.

And as I'm typing this from the couch with ice on my ankle the power goes out. Fucking fuck.
