I remember reading an old interview with Eddie Van Halen (I went through a huge VH phase in my teens) where he said he loved Jimmy Page on records, but thought he sounded like he played with a broken hand live.

I think every time that lady has replied to me it has involved completely missing the point

rush is very mockable, if nothing else.

it has something to do with the combination of the band's eccentricities and the fans' sensitivity but they are one of the easier targets on the rock spectrum

i think the fan sensitivity thing comes from the fact that they're mocked so often, just like philly fans are sensitive when people make fun of the santa claus and battery stuff.

i used to get worked up about it a bit, and i'm pretty sure i've defended them here in the past, but i just laugh at it all now. most of the mocking is true. their concerts are seriously like 80% dudes and 15% girls who were dragged there by their husbands/bfs.

You know, I heard same love the other day for the first time. Not a fan, at least thrift shop is kinda catchy and a little funky or whatever the first time you hear it, but then it gets old. Felt like same love was pretty lame, nice message and all, but then he hates Jews, so I don't know what to think
