I think James Rollins' (no relation) books have the best chance to spawn successful films. Fairly one dimensional stories with black and white morals, just traditional pulp adventure novels. Similar to Dan Brown with less religious overtones and a masturbatory love of private military organizations. I could see them starring Jeremy Renner, Tom hardy or maybe even Mark Wahlberg and "generic 'strong' brunette actress" currently en vogue.

They all blur together for me, kinda like Dean Koontz. I don't think it really matters. I seem to remember enjoying Amazonia and Subterranean the most though.
