It's easier to google google scholar that it is to drill down the menu. Indeed, the new google menu is nothing other than a 3x3 matrix of squares, and if you roll your mouse over it, it tells you it's apps, and I don't find any of that intuitive.

On some level, I think google has taken the whole "clean interface" thing way too far. it's partly why I don't use chrome often. I like a I also find the new google maps with the huge box in the upper left corner annoying. I'm old and cranky.

i do, especially the ones in the toolbar. i just got rid of a tons of the ones i don't use

oh yeah toolbar stuff I've used. Once you get kicked to the drop down you might as well say goodbye to me

I used to bookmark stuff all the time until I realized I never used them after adding them. Now I just leave like 20 windows and tabs open all the time. Toolbar is a different story.

I have a few, specifically online calculators or charts with weird urls to autocomplete

I don't have any bookmarks or toolbars. The toolbar just means more scrolling. And I figure Google can find what I'm looking for faster than I can drill down into Chrome's menus and find a bookmark.

the bookmarks toolbar is like a quarter of an inch. doesn't really affect scrolling too much

i have tons and tons of bookmarks, i guess thats a habit i've carried over from the original internetting days of my youth. all the main stuff is on the toolbar and everything i would need is pretty accessible though from the drop down menu, but i have some stuff stored in folders upon folders for reference. it will all be useful someday

the dude and SK should have a thread where they just quibble about inanities and semantics. it would be entertaining, TO ME

that's how i feel.

also a pro tip for those that don't do this. You can make it so that your toolbar bookmarks are just the web site logo. lets you add ton more
