I didnt used to give anything directly to my cousins. My parents would give for the family. But now that I'm financially independent from my parents and living on my own, it's reaching a gray area with my younger cousins where I'm starting to give money for these sorts of things.

fortunately Christmas has been simplified to godmother/godfather-goddaughter/godson gift-giving plus a decent Yankee Swap for the adults. but there aren't too many little ones in the family anymore so i think i mostly lucked out for birthdays

As the youngest of all the cousins I was the main target for tickle tortures.

I've only given gifts to my cousins when they have gotten married, I've bought drinks for younger cousins on their birthdays before and stuff like that, but I don't really count that kind of stuff.

I don't think cousins should get anything for graduation. I think unless you're exceptionally close to a cousin, baby showers and weddings are the only time they get a gift. And since we're pretty much all dudes here, that leaves just weddings.

I do remember my Aunt and Uncle threw a party for my cousin when she graduated veterinary school, and it was the same time I got my PhD. We had a our picture taken together. No one got any presents that I'm aware of. My sister did buy me a Mont Blanc Pen though. That was nice. Still have it somewhere.

Since children of first cousins are also first cousins, I have three dozen of them. Not as many second cousins, but I have a bunch of them too
