Have a phone interview in an hour and a half. Barely any sleep last night. This should go well.
i did! i dunno why you're home except that maybe your gallstones aren't nearly as big as mine were. i was on morphine drip for an hour or so with little positive effect before they x-rayed me, anesthetized me and did laparoscopic surgery to take the whole gall bladder out. after that things were pretty good; i woke up from the surgery with no major problems, took percocets and anti-inflammatories for a few weeks and all told it was a nice summer after that. but man, the pain leading up to the surgery was horrible. i've never felt anything nearly as excruciating as that.
best of luck to you; if they let you keep the gallstone i'd go for it because apparently they sell well in the Asian aphrodisiac market. i have a suspicion my doctor pocketed mine.
Barry Jive wrote:oh also your body takes a short period of time to adjust to losing the bladder (from here on out, your liver will take care of bile storage and it's not really a long-term issue because it can handle the job) because your bile becomes less concentrated. so for a couple weeks i was filling up on meals especially quickly compared to pre-surgery. so you'll probably lose some weight because of that, which is a nice side effect. it also made getting drunk easier but that mighta been the percocets.

CalvinBall wrote:Thanks pal. Apparently it's a pretty common thing to get. No exact reason why people get them either and it's more common in women.

Home from the ER. was there all morning starting at 3 am ish. I have to call the surgeon and set up an appointment. Don't know why they just didn't do it while I was there either.
This was like my 5th or 6th incident. I ally decided something was probably wrong and it was more than gas.
But yeah. Unbearable pain. No matter how you sit or bend it doesn't go away.
