I really hate how my one neighbor skates by (no pun intended) when it comes to shoveling her walk/driveway. I guess I don't mind the fact that she doesn't shovel, just the fact that she never acknowledges anyone who does it for her. I decided not to shovel her sidewalk this time and another neighbor ended up doing it. Feels bad.

Got some vice grips from our shop handyman and went out and replaced my battery. Sheared off the bolt for the battery mount in the process (bottom was rusted solid apparently). Got an appointment at the shop at 8AM tomorrow to fix that and replace the terminals.

No, but I swore afterwards.

I wonder if it would make sense to have an airport in say the middle of the country in a more or less rural area that was pretty much exclusively a hub. Few passenger trips would originate or terminate there. Such a facility would need substantially less infrastructure in terms of road/rail connections, there would be little NIMBY objection, expanding operations would be pretty easy. Presumably, managing air traffic would be easier. You'd choose a place in Texas or Arkansas or Mississippi something so winter weather would rarely be an issue.

flights connect at airports because there are some people who either begin or end their trips there.

I just read (on the internet, so this could be wrong) that in Atlanta, 70% of passengers are changing planes. I'd think an airport would be pretty sustainable if it had 70% of the traffic of Hartsfield. I think such a plan would cheaply and efficiently expand capacity and could be done relatively quickly. I've poked around on this--I found an article from 1989 that proposed such an idea. In some respects, it's what FedEx does in Memphis, and it's also sort of what is happening with International travel in Dubai. Maybe it makes more sense if you put it say in a place like Waco, where maybe a few passengers would drive (or hey, use some fancy Texas train they keep talking about) to get to Dallas or Austin or Houston.

I was thinking of listening to an old Nirvana CD the other day, but then I thought, eh, nevermind.

That was at my old house. This one is not a milf. As a matter of fact, she's rather cunty.
