Why can I only listen to one audiobook a month for the same price as watching every episode of multiple TV shows plus getting 2 rotating DVDs?

because they follow the book paradigm, not the movie paradigm

many libraries do lend audiobooks, if you really want to get cheap audiobooks

The library is what got me hooked on audiobooks back when I was commuting 2-3 hours a day back and forth across the Susquehanna. What I want is a subscription based streaming audiobook service following the Netflix model. Audible's model and the library's collection don't work when I've gone through 6 or 7 audiobooks in a month.

Booksfree.com is like $18 for 4/month i think. Not sure what you're willing to spend

Thanks for the suggestions. Booksfree offers unlimited, but it's through the mail, not streaming. And audiobooks.com switched to Audibles model in January, dropping the unlimited model and now seriously bumming me out. $20 for 2 books a month just doesn't interest me.

I'm an Audible fan, but you've gotta pay attention for all the $4.95 sales and 2 for 1 credit sales and whatnot. Otherwise, it is overpriced.

My issue with Audible is that I don't want to "own" the book, just listen to it once. I'M TRYING TO GO LEGIT HERE INTERNET!

It's great for me because I have my mom, dad and brother on my account so they all can listen to the books I buy.

my buddy commutes from wayne to central jersey three times a week and was telling me he got into audio books to pass the the time. I've never listened to one, but i feel like i'd space out and miss stretches all the time.

getting into the intersection and making the left as the light turns is becoming a lost art. people seem content with just sitting there c'mon people.

yesterday i was two cars behind someone who passed on multiple good chances to go straight across a busy two lane road. it was crazy.

this only works at certain intersection configurations- otherwise it can be a$$hole rude. It's called the "Pittsburgh left".

Wait, this isn't the common way to turn left? This has always been the way I've seen it done (except for parts of North Jersey where the first car at the unprotected light turns left before the opposing traffic goes.

oh, i think i got it backwards. I was thinking of what you said- making the left as the light turns green. now i realize z man was talking about as the light turns red. my bad.

regret it every time I think a DD breakfast sandwich will give me a little needed juice. things are so gross
