Random thoughts, mostly about junk food

I stopped going to the turkey hill and sunoco 3 blocks from me to drive to the hess a mile away. Pretty much only because the Hess has Swiss Premium tea and Dunkin coffee. The sunoco used to have swiss premium but they switched to turkey hill tea which seemed odd to me what with the turkey hill across the street.

Honest to God, it seems like every other building is a Subway in Moscow.

when I lived farther west of Broad the 7-11 at 22nd and Lombard was the only late-night convenience store I could rely on. i don't miss it but it got the job done. that's all you can say about a 7-11. Wilson Valdez.

Used to go to 7-11 every week or two to use my allowance money on baseball cards and stickers and a Slurpee with the special baseball coin in the bottom. Can't remember the last time I've been to one. Maybe a year ago?

Lot of those 7-11s are in Japan. We don't have any near us. Maybe there's a couple in Shreveport, I don't know. Texarkana doesn't have any.

Oddly enough, I just noticed today that there's a new 7-11 opening up right down the road from me. There's another one a half mile up the road the other way. The existing 7-11 sucks.

Scuba diving is pretty freaking close, particularly drift diving. It's neat to control your rise and fall just by how you breath.

I always thought it referred to back before they were 24 hour stores, they were open from 7 am to 11 pm.

The company's first convenience outlets were known as Tote'm Stores since customers "toted" away their purchases, and some even sported genuine Alaskan totem poles in front. In 1946, the name Tote'm was changed to 7-Eleven to reflect the stores' new, extended hours—7 a.m. until 11 p.m., seven days a week.[6] The company's corporate name was changed from Southland Corporation to 7-Eleven, Inc. in 1999.

Wikipedia. I mean really.

Haddonfield's store is only open until 10. In fact they made a special law for it.
