Did anyone else notice the moon/jupiter conjunction last night?

Also, I was just thinking that the starts in the galactic core are pretty close to one another--a few light weeks apart (as opposed to light years in our part of the galaxy). So, if planets that can support life could form there (and I suspect they couldn't because there's all kinds of rays and supernovae and stuff there) they'd be really close together, and thus if intelligent life did evolve on some of those systems, then they'd be much more able to exchange science and technology, and they'd be more likely to develop FTL travel (again, I know that's not possible but say it was) and then they'd spread throughout the galaxy until they invaded us. So, it's been nice knowing you.

dunno about faster-than-light travel but this looks like the product of an advanced civilization
