I've got this student who's been mostly coming to class, but hasn't handed in any work, and her excuse is "my roommate's boyfriend stole my book." And? File a police report? Buy another copy of the book? Borrow one from a friend? See if you can find other editions of the reading in the library? No? Why is this my problem?
Someone stole their book and you're pissed at them. Congrats on fulfilling the dickhead prof stereotype?

They haven't handed in any work over the course of the semester and their excuse is as dumb as 'my roommate's boyfriend stole my book' and you're siding with the student?

This is, I just wanted to let you know that I mistakenly only answered five questions on the first part of the final exam. I read the directions, but at some point in the exam I began thinking the first part needed only five questions and only realized my mistake after I got back to my house. I completely take responsibility for my mistake, I just wanted to ask you if there is anything that can be done at this point. If not, I understand.
Thanks for your time,
Already sent this. I was one of maybe 3 or 4 students with a flat A in the class going into the final, and now this could drop me as low as a C or D probably. My gpa is going to get fucked so hard.

And Pat Boone you should be ashamed of yourself.
