I post really late at night, and usually nobody responds. So I assume no one is reading my posts, and that perhaps most people are completely ignoring me. It makes me really happy when someone quotes or reiterates my posts at a later date. It's genuine validation for me. Feels real good. Glad to be a part of the team.

if you get the right kit, it shouldn't be too bad. Just taking apart your dash is the hard part. Actually, putting it back together properly is the hard part. These days they make harness adapters for most model cars, so all you need to do is unplug the harness from your existing radio and into the new one. Make sure you get bluetooth. iPod adapter / interface is nice, too. I have an old classic that lives in my car- I just bring it in when I want to update the songs. I control it all via the radio.

Along a similar line, anyone good with TV-speaker hookups?

I connected speakers to my FIOS cable box, which is connected to my HDTV. Works and sounds good, but I can only adjust volume manually on the speaker unit, not with my TV or FIOS remote. Even though the TV volume is set to variable.

Is that normal? Do I need a receiver or something to adjust the volume with a remote?
