Peaches had a reputation for being extremely ambitious. He was also a micro-manager I guess. Like most high ranking officers, not everyone loves him. Some of it is jealousy, some might be legitimate criticism.

That said, this Larkin sounds like a Whiney baby.

Putting on Dog and Pony shows for big shots is something soldiers do all the time. The decision as to who puts on the show is normally made well above the rank and position of the Brigade Cdr. I'd guess the 101st Division Commander or maybe the XVIII Airborne Corps commander made the decision and picked Petreus' Brigade because he knew Petreus would do it well.

oh, nevermind. still on that family deal.

nexus 4 is 350$ for the 16gb(unlocked phone, no contract with it). straight talk plan is either tmobile or att service for 45$ a month(unlimited phone, text, data)

350 + (45*12) = $890 for the year. much cheaper than a subsidized phone + contract.

In reference to O.D.B. being dead eight years ago today...
