i see nothing but obama signs in PA...depends on where you live. noonan obviously was in some super conservative hood. she's a joke. a well-paid joke, though.

Dave Wasserman ‏@Redistrict
OHIO EARLY VOTE: Here's our final spreadsheet of Ohio early turnout by county w/ Kerry/Obama percentages: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... 29fSGN1S0E
Dave Wasserman ‏@Redistrict
OHIO EARLY VOTE: More troubling #s for Obama than in VA. Turnout down 4.1% vs. '08 in Kerry/Obama counties, UP 14.4% in Bush/McCain counties

Grasping at straws? Maybe. But looking for anything to hang my hat on, and that looks pretty good.

OH EARLY VOTE: Clear from this data that we are headed for a less Obama-favorable turnout model than '08, but far from clear who will win OH

My own feelings, basically worth nothing since it's just me wetting my finger and holding it in the air to test the zeitgeist, is that it could go either way. Back in July I thought Obama was totally dead in the water, since his record was as easily defended then as now, and yet his approval ratings were terrible.Romney's failings as a candidate tightened things up a bit and perhaps put Obama slightly in the driver's seat, followed by Obama's failings as a candidate squandering things and getting things back to square one.

For the non-politically interested millions, and I think there are still many, may of those, my theory is that who they vote for comes down to who makes them feel better about themselves on election day. this can often boil down to just siding with the winner, but I think in 2008 also included many who liked to view themselves as able to overcome their own prejudices and vote for the black guy, and this accounted for much of his slightly larger than expected victory. Having done this once, though, I don't think Obama can count on these guys a second time around, while the people who would never vote for "the black guy" will still be out in force.

I don't really know who these guys will go for, or rather it will be divided among those voting for Romney because they accept the Obama as Great Apologizer line (and dammit, they want to feel great about their country!), or those voting for Obama because because they accept the Romney as the spokesman for the rich line (and dammit, I know when I'm being played for a fool!).

I think it will be close as hell. I think Obama has gained in support of the last couple weeks and will probably will the popular vote, but I don't think it at all unlikely that Romney will win the electoral vote.

Although I trust Nate Silver's judgment more than my own. I'm hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst. And at least glad the republicans ended up with "least objectionable man" as their nominee.

Lancaster is a traditional Republican hotbed.

I think NVa is blue except for Loudoun County, especially the West where the uber rich live around Duval and Maddie Albright.

just voted...jesus christ

the lady, about 80, asked for my ID. i said i voted here before. she said 'well id really like to see it'. i gave my name and she said 'i dont see it!!!!!' the lady with the actual book said 'oh here it is', so i signed my name. then the other lady said 'his signature is different!!!' in an 'ah HA!' manner, and proceeded to start to say id have to vote provisionally. i said 'jesus christ' and pulled out my ID and they were all like 'whew, no terrorist', and then i voted in my tenth straight election.

easy peasy...???

she did this to 4 other people...i was #8 i can only imagine how awesome this will go

Pretty sure there will be enough votes for Johnson to offset any votes Obama loses to Stein.

I really can't fault people for voting Third Party.
