Asshole. No, we have people using the ER for primary care, then not qualifying for Medicaid or other financial assistance, and hospitals struggling to collect. How do I know? Because that's one of the things I do for a living.
So great--people flaunt the system and get treated. Or people who simply can't afford health insurance but aren't poor enough to qualify for assistance get crushed by massive hospital bills after an emergency happens. Yes, that's much better than government-mandated health insurance.

Thank you. The notion that people can just walk into an ER, get treated and not be billed is beyond ludicrous. And, of course, we're not even dealing with the subject of preventative care.
