Random Rad Thoughts

friends mom is involved in one of those alternative energy pyramids, the problem is that people get so angry when you tell them that they're involved in one. She works hard, but I had to tell her when she started bugging my mom about getting involved. Freaked out on me, in total denial. She's a classic target for those scams, hard worker, and when the wages aren't matching up with the amount of work she's putting in, she just thinks she needs to work harder or work on her sales technique...never bothers to figure out if the business model itself is broken or unjust. Bad stuff, wish it was more aggressively monitored because those MLM/network scams are feasting on young 20 something people right now.
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

Boom.

I had this happen to me at school. My friend had to take the College Pro Painting Company to court, and I think he won something back. They're a total pyramid scheme and this stuff is really, really common on any campus you go to right now. At least it was at West Chester, because West Chester somehow allowed it.

Blue Rock sounds familiar as well.

I'm sure they target everyone. I needed to get the eff out of West Chester, pretty pumped to be taking my talents to another university (I hope)

As a side note on that point, GRE in two weeks. Tips, preps, etc.? I can't even get excited for it after reading the Princeton Review book. I can't take it seriously

When I took it my two biggest focuses were making sure I remembered how to do all the algebra and other high school math I hadn't done in years and brushing up on vocab. That was enough for me, but I've always been a lot better at standardized testing than anything having to do with real life.

My biggest regret was not spending more time writing practice essays. So definitely make sure you write a few of them and know what they're looking for.

gay marriage in every state. poorly worded.

sorry but gay marriage, bachelorette parties, huh?

there was a stink in california about a gay club that got tired of bachelorlette parties coming in and (unknowingly) celebrating their ability to get married. so for political reasons they banned bachorlette parties. i agreed with their reasoning and a coworker got bent out of shape about it(presumably because she just booked a bachorlette party at a drag club in NYC). i even told her thats fine and it doesn't bother me. i just think its uncooth to go about doing that(even though the drag club specializes in that and same sex marriage is legal in NY).

this is one of the more confusing paragraphs I've ever read on BSG

We are drinking beers with some guy named woody who is moving to Seattle. We let him set up his tent on our site because it was dark and he didn't know what to do. So e gave us beers. The people you meet.

Sorry, was half-asleep when posting.

The link from "The Dude" on page 6...goes to the Philadelphiaspeaks forum. He is the guy who owns the Bryn Mawr Running Co. in Manayunk, those are the bulldogs I post pictures of on occasion.
