So I just rebooted my computer to its factory settings.

Now I have to get the files off of Michelle's old laptop that doesn't work anymore. I'm trying to do it using Ubuntu, which has a totally awesome name. I'm in the middle of downloading ubuntu, and I will then boot her computer up using that, then put the files onto my external hard drive, and then put her computer back to factory settings.

This is way over me. Way.

Assuming your plan is to burn Ubuntu to DVD, make sure you select the option to "burn disc image" (or maybe it's "burn ISO image") within your DVD burning software. A common mistake for some folks is to select "data disc" or something along those lines, which would essentially leave you with a useless DVD in this scenario.

i've had it for the past 5 months now. the rest thing never quite worked. i've finally seen improvement over the past few weeks mainly through message therapy. i've just started to be able to begin lifting/working out again. it's still far from anywhere near 100 percent, but at least the pain is manageable.

Thanks for the tip, Mickbayne. Ubuntu is awesome- it might be my favorite thing ever at the moment.

By the way, I have tons of pics on this computer. Pics from Game 4 of the 2008 World Series, pics from the parade, pics from Doc's Perfect Game. We all need a pick me up today after the Chase deal today. I'm going to post some of them when I get home later tonight.
