I've also noticed another house identical to ours about 5 miles away. Well, not totally identical- they probably were at one time, though, and changes through the years have made them different. I also saw another one somewhere, but can't remember where.
Anyhow, the one I do know of (I call it our "twin" house) has the identical shutter hardware. I've been searching low and high, and can't find anything like it in the world. Would it be creepy of me to send that house a letter asking if they would sell me some of their shutter hardware? I wouldn't do it except for the observation that the house doesn't really seem to be well maintained these days, and I'm guessing they may not really care. Also, it would be cool to go through the house to check it out (I'd offer the same in return).
And what should I offer to pay for this shutter hardware? I can't break the bank.
So- creepy, or not creepy??
