You'd think the fine folks at SXSW would do a better job with website design. So many clicks to actually hear what the band sounds like.

I guess that's what happens when you get sponsors like Chevrolet, Doritos, and Pepsi.

I've not heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me.

When did Pi Day become a thing? I don't really remember anyone talking about it a few years ago, but maybe it has always had its adherents and I just wasn't exposed to their marking the day in the pre-facebook newsfeed era.

I remember it being celebrated in the mid to late 90's. I had the hots for a math grad student who was into pi for some reason.

Is a "Bachelor's degree" from DeVry "University" a worthwhile pursuit for someone with 10+ years in the workforce?

I took a few classes at DeVry several years ago in a Bachelor's program and as a result have very little respect for a degree from there (professional certifications would be another story) but I don't know if my view is widely held.

J, this is a sample size of two, me and my dad, talking about DeVry/U of Phoenix/Temple MBA.

I would have 0 respect and would definitely go in a different direction for a 22 year old graduating from DeVry or an online institution. I would look at it as worst neutral and probably a positive that someone fully in the workforce took the time to go back to school while working fulltime and possibly (in your case definitely) balance family obligations. That it's a "less prestigious school" than some of the other local schools would not be a big thing to me.

Fwiw, Thomas Edison State College in NJ offers online classes and degrees, you'll pay more out of state, but its pretty reasonable and it might not have the stigma of a DeVry or university of Phoenix, as it's a state school.
