biggest cluster fuck ever dealing with an online florist service. i planned to have two separate deliveries of flowers going to the same girl yesterday and today. well, i last talked to her around 4pm yesterday and she made no mention of any flowers. i figured she would call later that night... but she didn't. i was thinking about calling her up late last night and calling her a "fucking whore and ungrateful bitch". i find out today, that the first delivery did not get sent and no one really has any clue why but my account got credited.

they agreed to send out a replacement free of charge. however, the first set of flowers were less spectacular and the card less romantic than the second delivery. it was part of the plan, because i'm a classy bitch. i told them that everything is kind of ruined. i even told them the story about calling her an ungrateful whore and that we broke up so even the second order is a waste. i wanted some additional credit here or if i could be comped for an even grander set of flowers for saturday. i even offered to pay the difference. for some reason all the replacement flowers sent had to be the same as the original order.

i was ready to say fuck all this but i figured if i could just send the replacement flowers to someone else and it wouldn't be a problem. well after an additional 20 minutes on hold, they would allow me to at least change the recipient. i even wanted to change the flowers to something less expensive/romantic, but no. oh well, i guess. so now i don't know if i'm giving her the wrong impression about our friendship. i hate to ruin the moment, but mentioning these were for my gf, but things got fucked up and i had to send them to someone so i'm sending them to you, because your relationship is more fucked up than mine.

I would have just let the second ones get there and then been all surprised and annoyed that the first ones didn't get there and kinda doubled up on the effort and frustration points

yeah... but i thought if i acted right away i could salvage my pretty cool plan of sending flowers two days in a row. the first lady was cool, you should've heard her reaction when i told her "i called my gf a lying whore and ungrateful bitch" and we broke up. i told the lady i'm very emotional when it comes to matters of the heart. i eventually had to tell her i didn't do it, but the thought did cross my mind. it was the supervisor who i had to talk to that was the bitch. i should've probably talked to her supervisor, to see if a little more could've been done regarding the situation.

It seems every other year there is another slang term for vagina. nothing really has the staying power as the word dick. i mean johnson, shlong, one-eyed willy and jimmy all seemed to have their respective run, but all seem to have faded quickly. and why dick? was it once richard? was this named after a king or just common folk?

From the Online Etymology Dictionary:

"fellow, lad, man," 1550s, rhyming nickname for Rick, short for Richard, one of the commonest English names, it has long been a synonym for "fellow," and so most of the slang senses are probably very old, but naturally hard to find in the surviving records. The meaning "penis" is attested from 1891 in British army slang. Meaning "detective" is recorded from 1908, perhaps as a shortened variant of detective.

So basically Dick at the time would have meant a general term for someone, kinda like the U.S. Army uses Joe and British soldiers started referring to their penises (shay hallo to mah leetle friend) that way. Etymology is fun.
