Dude robbed a lady of her purse at 22nd and Market, drove up to the Parkway, went east to 16th, down to JFK then west to 30th Street. Ran into traffic, then stabbed himself in the stomach

Wow, that is a whole lotta dumb.

Barry, I have a question. I've called 911 twice in the last few years, once to report a traffic accident where someone went the wrong way down a divided 2 lane road and hit someone head on and the other was a few weeks ago, a tractor trailer was catching on fire on 141 by my house, and both times the incident had been called in before I called, but I didn't know that, and both times the 911 operator gave me attitude for calling it in. Should people call stuff like that in? Or am I being over reactionary. In both cases there were no emergency vehicles there yet. TIA!

Nah, it's good to call that stuff in especially if it looks like someone needs an ambulance. Sometimes I wonder why people bother to call in fender benders because really the only point of a police report is for the people involved to report it to their insurance companies and that's their own prerogative. But if it looks like someone's hurt or a car is wrecked it's important.

The job tends to be irritable in nature so pardon any rudeness from your 911 operators. I know here we have a couple dozen people answering calls but maybe in the burbs if there's heavy call volume it's overwhelming because there isn't as much manpower.

You know what's pretty cool? We are six games and two innings into the series and we really have no idea who is going to win this thing.

What a stupid fucking tweet

To pile on what Barry said, yeah, always call. Even if it looks like someone else is phoning it in, you never know. Plus, if they have a different cell carrier, they could hit a tower in a different juridstiction, and it could take time for the call taker to figure that out and then transfer the call to the proper call center.

Yeah, actually can't count the times we've gotten someone from Darby or Camden giving us an address that also corresponds to a valid Philly address and we don't catch it until the police get out there and find out the people there didn't call us

my left elbow tendonitis is about to have its second birthday. Seriously. It sucks. My right bicep is twice the size of my left because of this. I feel like that onion bodybuilder who forgot to work out his one arm.

you mean this won't go away like in at least a few weeks? mine is in my left too, but i'm righty so i guess that's good news. didn't go to the doc yet, my insurance sucks, but is one worth seeing, other than prescription meds of course.

I had it last 2 weeks before talking to my sister, a physical therapist. You need to make sure you are stretching the muscles around it (forearm, tricepts, biceps), even if it hurts. That brought me relief in a matter of a day or two.

Interesting. My orthopod says rest is the only thing that will cure it. He did give me this armband thingy I'm supposed to wear when using my arm for anything strenuous. I also googled a lot and didn't come up with anything like that. How do you properly strech your bi's and tri's to alleviate this? Can I talk to your sister? Is she hot? Answer the third question before the second

Switching to shows off the DVR. Will put baseball back on if Texas ties it up or takes the lead. If not, until next spring, baseball. It was real.
