What are you doing on your Thursday night? I'm watching C-Span

I think some of these people have been drinking

Mike Simpson just got chastised for using profanity on the House floor

Norm Dicks looks like he'd be a good guy to grab a beer with and talk about political bs. Ed Markey less so.

Mario Diaz-Balart is kind of hilarious. He should be a bad, over the top Latino villain in a cheesy sitcom, not a Congressman. I hope he's drunk.

Charlie Dent seems pretty sober and like he's good at his job. Plus he just gave Jersey a shoutout.

Might be a lazy Kentucky comparison, but every time Hal Rogers talks, I think about Colonel Sanders. Gosh, GOP House Chairman are mostly much more impressive than their Dem counterparts, but Dicks is miles better than Rogers.

Steve Womack, Arkansan, sober and responsible.

Goddamn we have a lot of boring white dudes from the south in our caucus. Glad Diaz-Balart hasn't gone into acting yet so he can add some variety.

Dicks just called Steny Hoyer one of his goodest, best friends. The legend of Norm Dicks grows.

Yeah it's pretty surprising. I was kind of figuring I'd grudgingly support him through the primaries, but he's been very, very good at these debates.

And the CR passed, so that's nice.

Serious question: How will he defend "Romney-Care?"

Then how can a republican voter who hates what Obama did then go and vote for Romney in the general?

I find it hard to argue with any of this. Netanyahu couldn't be more despicable, or worse for the long-term viability of Israel.

IIRC, the right of return was the only issue that killed the Barak/Arafat attempt, everything else was in mutual agreement. Clinton should've just had Arafat kidnapped and replaced with Ringo Starr, who would only have to smile, give a thumbs up gesture and sign the damn thing. The world would've been none the wiser.

The front running candidates bore me in general. All they are doing is bludgeoning each other and saying Obama is a bad, bad president. Same old, but really uncreative as it is always the same thing.

Ron Paul supporter are crying that their man is not getting more face time. He is being killed by the media... while he is the most qualified... Commentators say that the rabid Paul supporters think that they are more important then they are and Paul is more credible then he is.

I heard on NPR's Diane Rheam News Roundup say Santorum stepped into the Bachmann role last night.

Still a long way to go but if Romney gets the nomination I can't wait for people to defend that.

I'm not gonna defend Rick Perry, and I haven't actually watched any of the debates or even a single you tube clip, but is anyone pointing out that it's really dumb to have a bunch of debates months before the first vote that counts is passed, and that the format of these things is really stupid, and if you choose your nominee on the basis of performance in such a forum you deserve what you get?

How long are these things? Two hours? And you've got what 8 candidates standing up there? So 15 minutes per. Maybe if you restricted the debate to one topic, you might learn something useful. Otherwise, we're pretty much talking about something akin to a beauty pageant for 8 year olds.

Romney's supposes from the rooftops that there is one main thing that "entrepreneurs" and "innovators" cannot deal with.

And that thing is..."uncertainty"

Mitt, you idiot, that is just about all they CAN deal with - that's what they are entirely up against.

civil servants chafe at uncertainty. Accountants. Not innovators.

You've basically declared your ignorance of the entire matter of bringing something new into being.
