Tires are one thing i don't cheap out on. I'm deathly terrified of slipping in the rain and dying(almost happened once).

got over 50k on the last set(same tire) so i figured i would stick with 'em.

ugh, comfortred or tripletrak? I had two sets of triple trak- bought the second set using the same logic as you. Got sick of the constant leaks (may be sears fault on the install though) and mostly the LOUD NOISE THEY MADE. Just switched over to Hankook Ultima based on lots of web research. Like 400% quieter and haven't needed to top off the air since the install in March...

in other automobile related developments, Ima gonna use FRAM xtended guard oil filters exclusively now. I have no idea who to trust or who to believe in which brand actually, ya know, CLEANS your oil better, but these FRAM jobbies have a "sure grip" textured surface that allows you to grip and tighten/loosen the filter by hand when installing/removing. SO much easier than using a filter wrench since the filter is in such a *$*#ed up spot in my car.

I should put this in the pet peeves thread, but it really pisses me off when easy car owner maintenance things like changing light bulbs or air filters are made incredibly not easy because they decided to put them in a fucked up spot in the car.
